These terms govern your use of MotorHub. By creating an account or posting an ad you agree to the rules below. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.
1. The service
MotorHub is an online classifieds platform that lets people in Sri Lanka buy and sell vehicles, parts and related services. We are not a party to any transaction between buyers and sellers; we provide the listing and messaging tools that bring you together.
2. Your account
- You must be 18 or older.
- Mobile-number verification is mandatory. The number you register must be your own.
- You may not share your password or transfer your account to another person.
- Dealer / Agency / Business accounts are subject to admin approval and may require business registration documents.
- We may suspend or terminate any account that violates these terms.
3. What you may post
- Real vehicles, parts or services that you own and have the right to sell.
- Photos that you took or have permission to use.
- Accurate descriptions of the vehicle's condition, ownership and price.
4. What you may not post
- Stolen, illegal or otherwise unsellable vehicles.
- Vehicles you do not own, unless you are an authorised dealer / agency / business listing on behalf of the owner.
- Misleading prices, fake mileage, or doctored photos.
- Spam, duplicate listings, or off-platform contact instructions designed to bypass our chat and lead tools.
- Content that breaks Sri Lankan law (hate speech, defamation, IP infringement, etc.).
5. Ad moderation
Individual sellers' first ads go through a moderation queue before being published. Verified Dealer / Agency / Business accounts publish directly. We reserve the right to reject, hide or remove any ad at any time, and to require you to resubmit it with corrections.
6. Featured ads, plans and payments
- Plan and featured-ad prices are shown on the platform at the time of purchase. By paying, you accept that price.
- Featured ads are locked from editing while the promotion is active. When the promotion ends, the ad reverts to standard status.
- Payments are processed by PayHere (LKR) or PayPal (USD, converted). Refund requests should be raised within 7 days; we evaluate each on its merits.
7. Fees we may collect
- Plan subscriptions (monthly / annual) that raise your active-ad cap and unlock features like priority listing.
- One-off featured-ad fees for premium placement.
- Reactivation fees when an expired ad is brought back live.
We will never charge a fee that wasn't shown to you before payment.
8. Disputes between users
MotorHub does not arbitrate transactions between buyers and sellers. We provide tools (mobile verification, messaging history, optional dealer verification badges) to reduce risk, but the final transaction is between you and the other party. 9. Reports and bans
Any user may report an ad or another user. Reports are reviewed by our moderation team and may result in the ad being removed and the account being warned, restricted or banned. Banned users cannot post, message or log in.
10. Liability
MotorHub is provided "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by Sri Lankan law, eWorksOnline (Pvt) Ltd is not liable for any indirect, consequential or special damages arising from your use of the platform.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced via a bell-icon notification. Continuing to use MotorHub after a change means you accept the new terms.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka. Any dispute that cannot be resolved between us will be submitted to the courts of Colombo.
